The 30th Zigong International Dinosaur Lantern Festival

The 30th Zigong International Dinosaur Lantern Festival took place at China Lantern World in Zigong, Sichuan, from February 2 to May 5, 2024. The festival celebrated the Year of the Dragon under the Chinese theme “灯汇天下，龙舞盐都”.

Zigong City Dragon Culture & Arts Co., Ltd. partnered with the event organizers to co-invest in and help deliver the festival.

Attendance Across the Full Festival Period

According to Zigong Daily’s news website, reporting the Zigong Lantern Industry Association’s 2024 review, the festival recorded more than 1.293 million visits across its full run. This figure represents attendance at the entire festival, rather than a single day or an individual company’s displays.

The festival featured four themed areas combining lantern craftsmanship, Chinese cultural themes and contemporary presentation.
